Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun...

I love the sun shining. It has been sunny all week, and while it hasn't especially been warm, the sunshine is fabulous. It makes the car all nice and warm and makes the dog willing to stay out all day. I'm axiously awaiting the 40s and 50s around here, but I'll survive as long as the sun keeps on shining! Sadly, I think we are going to miss our 40 degree days as we head up to Michigan to celebrate Quinn's birthday. I was kind of hoping Uncle Trevor would be there to celebrate as well, but it doesn't look like it, so we will just have to wait to see him when they come down to visit.
Things with the girls have been an adventure lately. They LOVE to play together, which is just fabulous, but Quinn isn't old enough to know when sister is telling her to do somethign she shouldn't do, and Avrie is old enough to create a little sneakiness, but I love to hear them laugh and play. I'm nervous about another one, but I guess I will just try to do what I did with Avrie and Quinn...whatever that was. Avrie is doing great learning all of her letters (we still sometimes forget about N, and mix up M and W), and counting to 14 (15 is an elusive number). She loves to write and all I have to do is tell her how to spell something and she will write it out. Quinn is my little chatterbox, just as she has been since she was 10 months old. Our development email for this week said she should be able to put together 3 word sentances, instead she likes to be an overachiever and tell us a lot more, like "I take keys, phone and go bye bye, with my Avrie, my mommy." She also likes to add "ie" to everything. It's not a glove, it's a glovie, or it's not a phone, it's phonie...so cute.
And in news of the addition to our family, we have our ultrasound scheduled for April 5, and while we could take the girls with us, I think we are just going to leave them home with Aunt Becky and Uncle Trevor. My plan is to ask the Dr to write down for us if it is a BOY or a GIRL (in big capital letters) and I am going to try to teach Avrie to read BOY and GIRL, then we will have the Dr put it in an envelop and when we get home, we will have Avrie open the envelop and tell all of us what our baby is. I can't believe that we only have about 5 weeks to wait and see what it is. It always goes by so quickly. I will admit I am axious to find out, not because I care what it is, I truly 100% do not care if it is a boy or a girl, I just am having a horrible time finding names I like and really just need help narrowing it down. Avrie says it's a boy, but she "really doesn't matter what it is." So we will wait and hopefully see...
