Today is a day to celebrate and savor because I may not get one like it for another 5 weeks... 9 hours straight of sleep. Ella has been a great sleeper from the beginning getting 5 hours or so a night, a few times we got 8 hours, but one of the other girls would be awake or something else, but yesterday we spent the whole day with friends and while Avrie and Quinn were awesome and so well behaved, Ella had kind of a grumpy afternoon/evening where she just wanted to snooze and snack and be held. I finally got her to sleep before 10:30 and I fully expected to be up around 5 since that has been her routine this week. I was pleasently surprised to look at the clock when I heard her to see it was 7:30ish. No wonder I woke so quickly and it was easy to get out of bed.
Ella loves to sleep on her belly, so while I am around and checking on her often I let her sleep on her belly during the day, but at night I follow the recommendation that they sleep on their backs. One day she was being grumpy and would only let me set her down on her belly, so I laid her in the swing:
She was so comfy she slept like this for over an hour :)
And when she sleeps on her back she loves to spread out. We had her in the cradle up until last week. She was starting to spread out and wiggle herself against the side of the cradle so it was time to give her some more space.
I think that Ella is just taking a lesson from her big sister Quinn, to just be comfy :)
