The only piece of furniture we needed to purchase was a little bookshelf. I tried finding one at garage sales, but no such luck. With all the college kids coming back to town lots of stuff like this is on sale which was nice, and the girls loved helping daddy put the shelves together.
The room turned out super cute and the girls already love playing in the room, and it really is a nice comfy place to hang out which is nice as well. We got the decals from Target and then I wanted to do some cute little pictures above the cradle/crib, so I traced the decals and then made my own birdie and owl from my left over scrapbook paper and did a little smile to go a long with it. I think they turned out really fun.
Avrie and Quinn LOVED helping to put the stickers on the wall, and sometimes Quinn still wants to move them around, but overall they were fabulous helpers.
We painted each wall a different color, which I will admit I was excited but hesitant about, and it turned out really cute. I think it is acutally another thing that makes it feel relaxing. Rob kind of laughed about what if we have a boy since this is the first time we have done a "girl" room, so I said boys can like pink and purple too.
So we are as ready as we can get. I thought yesterday could have been the day after having contractions all day long, but then around dinner time they just kind of stopped. They never got strong enough to really make me feel like that was it, but it was frustrating to say the least...so we wait some more.
Hugs for baby!
Sara, the room looks great! Sending prayers your way for a safe delivery! Take care :)
ReplyDeleteLove the room! So cute...as well as your girls, as always! You still look amazing. Wishing the best of luck to you that she comes quickly. BTW I would love to see some pics of the nursing cover and pacifier clips. :)
