The Plan

Part of the adventure of having #3 is that we have a 3 bedroom house...technically 4 if you want to be all specific, but the extra "bedroom" is my craft room, and then there is another small room that is the guest room. If we HAVE to use that room because things go horrible, we will, but The Plan is to move Avrie into Quinn's room and then put the baby into Avrie's room.  Quinn's room is slightly larger and also only has one window which makes placing furniture a little bit easier.  We weren't 100% about a #3 when we moved into this house so we simply let Avrie pick her room.  When we found out about #3 we talked with Avrie and she is totally excited about sharing a room with Quinn, and now the process is starting. I want it to be a slow process because both our girls are so independant (even though the LOVE each other tons) I feel like they'll do better with baby steps instead of one big move.
Today we started with Avrie's clothes. We sorted, we hung, and rearranged and now Avrie's clothes are in the "Big Sister Room". We are done calling it Quinn's room officially because they are both going to be big sisters and that's why they are sharing a room.  Avrie was super excited, and Quinn totally didn't care, she just wanted to play with the hangers.  They have to share a dresser and the closet, but will have their own beds, each will have a mini book shelf and  they already share a little toy box/organizor we got at christmas.  I'm not sure if the dresser is going to work out so well since they each have their own right now, but I'll figure it out, and probably find new places for out of season clothes.  We can't really put them in storage like most friends do down here in Missouri because when we go up to Michigan we usually need a jacket or pants for the evenings up there and we often need them when we go camping too....so we'll see what I figure out.
Otherwise, we will slowly work on getting the toys and books combined and then paint their room and then move Avrie's bed into their room...once I figure out a good plan for bed time. I know there will be lots of giggles and playing at first, but I really do hope to figure out how to help them get to sleep as well is they do now...well, as well as avrie always does, and as well as Quinn has for the past two nights (she HATES going to sleep, but has always slept great once she's asleep).  We are going to paint two walls pink and two walls green and put a bunch of flowers up on one wall. Going to be fun.  The baby's room on the other hand...no plan really...I've never gotten ready for a specific gender so I'm having problems getting excited to do a girl's room when I haven't met her yet...does that make sense?
Anyway, that's the rambling for tonight. I'm getting grumpy and the baby is moving around like crazy as per usual, so I'm going to bed... good night!
